Start here First just make sure you know why you want to quit. Try to make time and browse through anti-smoking materials for more weeks, so you know how bad your habit is. In time, you will find the motivation you need and discover an increasing desire to quit. This is a decision that has to be taken as fast as possible, because with each passing day you become more and more addicted. Talking to others will allow you to learn that no one knows a secret trick which you are unfamiliar to, the only secret is will.

The Beginning First just make sure you know why you want to quit. Gather as many information as you can about quitting and learn from the experience of others. After a while, your desire to quit smoking will be founded by real facts. Do not think too much about this decision, with each second that passes your lungs and your entire body suffers. You will learn from other people that there is no masked secret which only those who stopped smoking know, and that the only thing that matters is personal will.

Why you should be quitting

Make a list with all your reasons, which might include:

-You will be adding a few more years to your life.

- You will not be considered a risk factor for strokes or cancer.

- You will stop hurting those in your family who have to breathe in your smoke, you will stop polluting your baby while he is in the joovy tandem stroller and you smoke besides him

- You will find a forgotten will to live and to move.

- You will have more money which you can spend is a more useful way than buying cigarettes.

Try to make a journal where you can write any useful thing There is no greater weapon than your own words. Your desire to quit can gather more strength and power when you note down in your journal all the reasons that turned you towards this big step.

Here you could be answering yourself some smoking related questions: How did smoking affected and influenced your life so far? What enhancements and changes can you make? What can you do to change the home or work environment where everyone smokes? Why does smoking give you pleasure? What are the things you hate about cigarettes? Are there persons that can help you quit? What are the quitting benefits for you? Decide upon a precise quitting date

The sooner, the better. Do not delay it and make sure you pick a clear day of this month if you don’t want to lose your enthusiasm. Pick a period in which you know you won’t have many stressful factors to deal with. Plan a tight schedule for the first few days. Because the first days are very hard, you should think of a period when you can keep your mind busy with something else.

The first few days are different from person to person, some want to relax, others to do as many things as possible. And some want to sleep. What to do during these few days is a thing we decide alone. If this means that you will sleep for two days, then that’s as good as anything. This is the only time when nicotine addiction will cause you severe symptoms. It’s only part of the long process you need to go through if you want to return to living a normal life. You will finally be able to quit smoking and experience total freedom, as you should have since…a long time.

Smokers are already aware of the dangers of smoking, the health risks along with how it can affect how a person looks with time are advertised everywhere. That doesn’t make it any easier to stop nor curb the desire to do so. With more and more laws going into affect about public smoking, smokers have found a legal and safer alternative to enjoy their habit without risks to themselves and others through the e cigarette.

There are many benefits to choosing this smart alternative to traditional cigarettes. E cigarettes are smokeless, so there is no tar, no second hand smoke or any burning at all. Some are programmed to control the amount of nicotine taken in a certain amount of time and will shut off it if exceeds that. And, they don’t include any of the harmful and poisonous substances that normal cigarettes do.

The cost of cigarettes is high today and there is no end in sight on how high they can go. This is an effective deterrent to stopping people from starting, but a current smoker is likely to continue to pay whatever price for their habit. These electronic cigarettes work by using refill cartridges, which are much lower in price than buying pack after pack of traditional cigarettes and the nicotine control in some stops one from being a chain smoker. All around, they are a far more affordable and cheaper alternative.

Since they are smoke free the smoking ban laws won’t affect you. You can smoke anywhere with them without worry and legally. You are able to get your nicotine fix whether you are at work, the bar, a restaurant or any place smoking is banned. The other advantage is no clean up since they don’t burn or smoke, there is no ash or residue to clean up from using them.

Because the e cigarette tastes, looks, and feels like a real cigarette you don’t realize you are missing any of the bad things that come with the traditional one. Instead of smoke, these release a vapor that looks like it, without being toxic, and the end has an LED light on it that lights up when in use. So it feels and looks like you have a conventional cigarette, all without the lingering smell of one.

Gone are the days of carrying around a bulky pack of cigarettes and worrying about them getting smashed or broken in transit. With one of these e cigarettes, one is all you need and it is easily stored anywhere you want it to be. And, for those that enjoy a light cigarette, these come in light, medium, and full flavor for each type of smoker.

Knowing the disadvantages of smoking traditional cigarettes isn’t enough to stop the millions who do so. Now that technology has released a healthy alternative that is cost effective and environmentally friendly, many are finding they don’t have to give up their nicotine. The many advantages of an e cigarette is causing many to go ahead and replace their tobacco habit with a safer one, without losing the nicotine they crave.

An e cigarette is an electric option that is much less harmful for your health benefits and for the environment than the traditional nicotine delivery method. Green smoke is appealing to anyone who wants to have clearer lungs.

Do you know what electronic cigarettes are, well here is a quick explanation. They are shaped like a normal tobacco cigarette but instead of including tobacco and, usually a filter, they have an atomizer, a battery and a small cartridge which holds a measured amount of nicotine (or no nicotine), flavorings and some water.

When a smoker draws on one, their cravings are placated because of the taste of tobacco they obtain, the ’smoke’ like vapor that’s given off, the satiety they get from actually holding the cigarette, and the inhalation of nicotine (nicotine free are available). Because of all these considerations they can be seen as another option to a traditional tobacco cigarette.

There are many benefits to using these Electronic cigarettes rather than the standard tobacco ones. For a start they are a lot cheaper, they don’t produce any disagreeable odors nor pollute the air, and there is nothing to need to clean up, such as butts and ash, when you have finished vaping one.

The “smoke” like vapor discharged by them vaporizes within a few seconds, and the odor does not stick to your car, your clothes or your home so they will not have a tobacco odor that is seldom possible to mask. It doesn’t leave any visible particles in the air, such as the horrible, acrid cloud that is known to that irritates people who sit next to smokers of standard cigarettes.

The reason why these e-cigarettes are less harmful than the normal tobacco cigarette is that there’s nothing being burnt during the process of inhaling on one. This means that any vapor emitted has no harmful substances that can harm to the body of the smoker or anybody else.

An important health advantage of these electronic cigarettes is simply that they do not use any harmful ingredients. The way they work is to use a rechargeable battery powered atomizer to warm the liquid causing a vapor to be produced. Propylene glycol, which is certified as safe by the USDA, is added to the H2O vapor that’s given off to make the smoke able to be seen, as H2O vapor is invisible. Elusion100 article.

The first time a smoker really starts to care about his smoking habit is after 10 or 20 years since he started.Once the moment of “the first cigarette” has passed, that person will not smoke more than 1 to 5 cigarettes a day for a couple of months. But as time passes, and young people grow, they start smoking more and more, and at certain times during a day.

Smoking is nothing more than a nasty habit. And when we say habit we mean a dependency that was achieved by the frequent repetition of some action. If your everyday activities turn very stressful, then you must find ways to reduce the stress if you want to quit. Being a stock investor is a risky business, but you can diminish risk by using how to profit from foreclosures materials.

There are other habits we have, but we can not compare them to smoking, because smoking is a real danger to our health. If you only browse through the available smoking materials over the Internet, you will still understand that someone who smokes for 20 years will live a lot less that a person of the same age who never smoked. After 20 – 30 years of smoking, people will start showing the negatives effects of cigarettes, by either developing cancer or other respiratory or cardio-vascular diseases. Because these diseases take time to appear, when they do it’s already too late to quit smoking by will, because you have already been dependent to nicotine for a long time.

It’s clear that quitting is a lot harder than starting. According to the majority’s opinion, the main reason is the dependency that installs itself rapidly, even in 6 months, especially if you start as a teenager. Out of all components of a cigarette, the nicotine is the only one that can cause dependency. Nicotine dependency shows a few distinctive factors: the many tries of quitting without success, the need for a cigarette which growth with every month and the mental need of happiness, which can be produced by nicotine. Because nicotine can boost our mood and improve our intellectual performances, we tend to not want to let it go.

No matter how great the pleasure implied by a cigarette might be or the stimulant effect of smoking over intellectual activities, is it really worth risking your health? Nicotine dependency is compared to the dependency caused by drugs as heroine, so it can not be left aside. Next to nicotine we also breathe substances similar to those used to gas people to death during the second world war, so quitting this nasty habit is a must for everyone.

Cigarette smoking is definitely a hard habit to kick. If you have decided to get serious about doing so, then you deserve a round of applause. Bravo to the person who decides to get rid of this sick, stinky, killer of an addiction once and for all. But you know it will not be easy, do you not? Of course, you may have tried and failed at least once already. The good news is that you can get some help with products to ease nicotine withdrawal.

Before you begin such an epic battle, however, be reminded that it is in your very best interests to visit a doctor for advice on whatever methods of cessation appeal to you. There are many ways to quit smoking and some may pose risks to your overall health, and medical advice should be sought in any case. In the case of substitute delivery systems, this is even more important.

The most commonly heard about aid to help in quitting is what is usually referred to as the patch. This is a sticky sided patch that adheres to the skin, where it supplies the user with a steady feed of nicotine. This is used to help smokers quit the smoking part of the addiction, but then one must get weaned off of the patches, too. But they will curb the cravings for a cigarette for many.

Chewing gum is also a delivery system that has remained popular over the years. It has a dose of the drug in it, you can get to it quickly, and the drug is absorbed very quickly through the sensitive tissues in the mouth. Like the patch, though, it is still delivering the addictive substance, so care must be taken to not abuse the gum while quitting the smoking.

Speaking of gum, regular chewing gum has been a standby for those wishing to quit, and for good reason. It can actually work. Habits are broken by distracting the mind from the craving, and the whole ritual of chewing a piece of gum can help do that. You will also be occupying your fingers and your mouth, both of which stay busy while puffing away on cigarettes.

For the high tech quitter, the electronic cigarette is becoming somewhat popular. This is due more to smoking bans than replacement cures, but it can help by reducing the toxins inhaled. Since it is not actually burning tobacco it is said to be more benign than the smoke of chemically laden leaves. These, too, are adjustable so you can reduce the level of the addictive drug in the process of eliminating it.

Perhaps the old tried and true method of cold turkey is still the best, but it is surely a difficult route to take. You can try the chewing gum, or carrot sticks, or cinnamon sticks, or chewing on a blade of grass, but at some point you will have to rely on will power in order to not take in more of the drug you are trying to quit. Again, see your doctor and discuss if the sensible use of a substitution system, or flat out abstinence is best for you.

To quit using tobacco products, it you are addicted to them, will be difficult to be sure. But it can be done to be sure. Get in touch with a trusted doctor, look long and hard at your options, understand the importance of your powerful will, and research the many products available to ease nicotine withdrawal for an easier transition.

Stop by Janet Roth’s site where you can find out more info on how to quit cigarettes without having to contend with nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

Some of the best selling items for smokers in recent years have been stop smoking products such as nicotine gums and patches. A doctor’s prescription was originally required to use the smoking cessation product but eventually over-the-counter sales were approved as there were no serious side effects when the products were used as directed.

The patches provide a slow release of nicotine while the gums provide nicotine release on demand. The goal of both stop smoking products is to help an addicted tobacco user gradually quit his habit with a gradual withdrawal of nicotine over a ten week period of time. The nicotine replace patches and gums continue to sell well today.

Smokers who chose the nicotine patch use the maximum strength (21 mg) for the first six weeks. The instructions are to replace the patch with a fresh one every 24 hours but some smokers find their sleep disturbed and wear the patch only during waking hours. In weeks seven and eight the nicotine level is reduced to 14 mg and then to 7 mg for the final two weeks of the program.

Tobacco prices have drastically risen in the past few years. It is common for a heavy smoker to spend no less than $70 per week on his addiction. The total cost of patches for a 10 week smoking cessation program will cost a bit over $200. Clearly, this is cheaper than smoking tobacco for the next ten weeks. Nicotine replacement products are not advised for use by diabetics. This eliminates 8% of the U.S. population who cannot use the patches at all.

Another stop smoking product that is popular with consumers are nicotine gums. Similar to chewing gum this nicotine replacement product contained 2 or 4 mg of nicotine in each foil wrapped piece which is about the strength of nicotine contained in one or two tobacco cigarettes. The nicotine is absorbed by the tissues of the mouth and delivered to the bloodstream.

The user controls the nicotine release of the gum. First the gum is chewed for a few seconds until it becomes soft and creates a tingly feeling in the mouth. Then it is tucked between the user’s cheek and gum and held there for a few minutes. As needed the gum is chewed again for a few seconds to release more of the nicotine tingling sensation. One piece of gum will last for about 30 minutes before the nicotine is depleted.

There can be side effects associate with nicotine gum. Reports of uncontrollable hiccups and a feeling that the throat muscles were constricted may be caused by swallowing saliva containing high doses of nicotine. Nicotine will constrict blood vessels and use of the stop smoking gum over a long period of time may lead to gum disease.

Used in the first trimester of pregnancy, nicotine replacement products have been links with increased risk of birth defects and neither gum nor patches should be used by pregnant women or nursing mothers.

Prescription drugs do not replace the nicotine when you quit smoking but it reduces the cravings felt. Most of the drugs are antidepressants meant to calm the stressful time of nicotine withdrawal. Though popular with the public there have been rising concerns about potential serious side effects. Smokers that can tolerate the drugs seem to have a high rate of success than those who use nicotine replacement products.

You can’t compare patches, gums and pills meant help you stop smoking with electronic cigarettes. The e-cigarette is meant to provide safer alternative to smoking rather than to help you quit. Smokers who buy e-cigarette (s) are those who want to continue smoking but in a healthier and environmentally friendly manner.

Trying to quit smoking is a very lengthy process. This can take a very long period of time such as several years, or it could be something much shorter like only a few weeks or months. The exact time frame that it takes to quit can vary greatly but what is important is ensuring that you are coming up with a plan to combat your urges to smoke.

At some point in your experience trying to quit you will encounter a situation where the urge to smoke is very strong. How you handle this situation will go a long way towards your ultimate success. Being prepared for the urge to smoke will ensure that you have a plan to keep your willpower strong and continue on your path to quit smoking successfully.

Take the time to decide exactly when you typically smoke. For example, after meals, after a jog around the block, or even after your shower each morning. Knowing when you typically smoke will put you in a good position to create a plan to combat the urge.

Create a plan for fighting the urge. You can use simple things like a stress ball in your hand or a piece candy in the mouth. You can also try to brush your teeth every time you feel the urge to smoke. Or you can use a mint to freshen your breath.

Stay away from all temptations. If you are eating out, find a table in the non smoking area. Never go into a tobacco store and try to limit the time you are together with other smokers. It will be harder to resist the temptation, if you are continuously around smokers and cigarettes.

All smoking instruments must be removed. This is stuff like matches, lighters and ashtrays. Do also get rid of the smell of cigarettes; either by airing the room or using products like Febreeze. The smell of cigarettes can trigger your urge to smoke.

If you are having a place where you normally smoke, it could be a good idea to rearrange your this area. By breaking the routines it will be easier to resist the temptation to smoke. This advice works especially well, if you typically smoke at the same, few places in your home. So if you normally watch television in your favorite chair while you are smoking, try to remove the chair (or the television). Then it will be much easier to resist the temptation to light a cigarette.

Know your goal to quit smoking; and write it down. It might seem like a minor detail, but it can be a major step towards ensuring that you keep your focus on quitting smoking. If you just tell yourself in your head that you want to quit smoking, it will be much easier to cheat and give into the urge to start smoking again. With written goal, you will be more likely to follow them. This advice can also be used if you are trying to lose weight, exercise more etc. Goals on paper can improve responsibility radically.

Never discount yourself. You will be much more capable of the success if you are certain that you will succeed. Belief is everything. It will help you to be strong when the urge comes. If you are deciding to slip up intentionally, you will find it much harder to get back again. But if you hold on to your devotion to stop smoking you will find it much easier to handle the urge to smoke.

The idea to stop smoking might seem really great, but what are you actually going to get out of the process?

The idea to stop smoking might seem really great, but what are you actually going to get out of the process?

Some benefits are very obvious. The clothes and the house will smell better, and if you normally smoke in the car, it will also be nicer to drive without the smell of the cigarettes. But there better reasons to quit the cigarettes. Things like better health and more money is probably counting more than the smell.

You can save a lot of money if you quit the cigarettes. On pack a day can easily save you $35 a week, $150 a month and $1,825 a year. So if you really want to save some money, be honest and calculate how much it cost you to smoke the number of cigarettes, you are smoking today.

But even though it might be nice to save all the money, more important is the improved health you get by quitting the cigarettes. As little as 20 minutes after you have smoked the last cigarettes your health will have improved.

If you consider that quitting smoking can help you reduce your risk of heart problems, stroke, high blood pressure, lung cancer, and even breathing complications you have just located a plethora of reasons why smoking really is good to avoid. The research that tells us smoking is bad has proven that just a short period of time after quitting is able to reverse many of the harmful effects that cigarettes have caused, no matter how long you have been a smoker.

An example is that just 5 years after the last cigarette the risk of a stroke will be the same as for someone who has been a non-smoker for their entire life. In contrast the risk if you continue to smoke is at least the double.

And it gets better. 15 years after you have stopped smoking the risk of coronary heart disease is the same as for non-smokers. It might seem like small steps, but you can be sure that they will improve your health; and thereby also the quality of your life.

So no matter if you look at the money or the health, there is many reasons to stop quitting. And before you start the better are the benefits.

New buyers often express concern about the health aspects of using an e-cigarette. This is a good question to ask about any new product that you will be ingesting into your body in some way. The safety of electronic cigarettes has not been scientifically proven as yet. This is due to the newness of this product on the market. However, it is not difficult to believe inhaling a water vapor is much less risk to health than inhaling toxic smoke.

Tobacco is a natural plant and smokers argued for a long time that it could not be a health danger as it was part of nature. What they ignored was the change the plant leaf undergoes when burned. Burning released chemical particles and carcinogens and we know now the health dangers pose by tobacco use.

Sold initially as a gimmick or gag gift, electronic cigarettes have only been on the market since 2003. Rapid advances in technology and battery development has led to the gimmick becoming a viable tobacco alternative. There is no argument that there are few products sold that carry more health risk than tobacco items. That may account for the growing popularity of e-cigs.

Nicotine is part of the electronic cigarette but by itself has not been considered to be a dangerous ingredient. Propylene glycol is used to create the vapor mist but and is the ingredient most often mentioned by those raising health concerns about e-cigarettes.

The FDA approved propylene glycol many years ago as safe for inhalation and it is an ingredient in many products made today. Some will say PG is antifreeze but that is diethylene glycol and a different chemical compound. For over forty years, propylene glycol has been an approved food additive.

Electronic cigarette supplies do not claim there are no health issues associated with e-cigarettes. To date, no issues have been determined yet it will take time for full testing of this new product. Although the e-cigarettes health risk is not yet fully known it is safe to say that inhaling vapor mist is safer than smoking tobacco.

The e-liquid used to refill e-cigarettes has been shown to be unreliable and if there is a health risk associated with e-cigarette (s) it is with these refill products. Quality control of some cheaper varieties is nonexistent and it is wise to purchase refill e-solution only from a recognized seller.

Chinese imports were tested and found to contain unreliable nicotine levels. Some were so low as to be almost non-existent while other bottles of e-liquids contained far more nicotine strength than is healthy to use. These are cheap imported refill products that are not under any quality control as yet.

Buying an electronic cigarette with pre-filled replaceable cartridges eliminate the need to buy or even worry about the questionable quality of the e-liquid refills on the market. This removes the only valid health concern associated with the e-cigarette today.

Mary Kay Rivers has become a true expert on all aspects of electronic cigarettes. Her publications such as an electronic cigarette review or about electronic cigarette benefits are very popular.

When you put an electronic cigarette between your lips and inhale, air flow is detected by a sensor, which triggers a heating element that vaporizes a nicotine solution which is stored in the mouthpiece. Most electronic cigarettes have an LED on the outer end of them that is also activated whilst inhaling – the purpose of it being to look like the lighted end of a real cigarette. The LED can be purchased in a number of different colors, but most people prefer the orange-red glow, as it is the most realistic.

The mouthpiece of an electronic cigarette is a small plastic cap that screws on to a white tube, which is the same size and shape as a normal cigarette. There are some variations in how they work and look, but the general idea is always the same. Though you might be wondering if they can really be effective, they have been proven to be so. The main thing that keeps you addicted to cigarettes is the nicotine in them, and that is just what electronic cigarettes give you – nicotine.

The liquid nicotine solution is vaporized by the only heated part of an electronic cigarette, which is in the cartridge. The heater works off a small lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery comes with the electronic cigarette, and to charge it up you can either use a wall socket or an in-car charger. The battery life is not amazing, due to the small size of the battery, but you can expect to only need to re-charge it every few days. You can buy an extended life battery if you wanted to, but it is not really necessary.

The nicotine solution in an electronic cigarette will, of course, run out over time, but the good news is that you can buy refills. Therefore, you do not need to keep buying a new electronic cigarette every week. As well as nicotine, the solution also contains either propylene glycol or glycerin. Though the names of those chemicals do not sound too friendly, they are actually not harmful at all, and are both commonly used in food additives. You can choose between a range of different concentrations of nicotine solution, depending on how addicted you are to nicotine. 4mg/ml is the lowest concentration, and 50mg/ml is about the highest.

What makes electronic cigarettes so good is the ability to gradually reduce your dependence on nicotine. You can start off by replacing normal cigarettes with electronic ones that contain the same amount of nicotine, and then lower the concentration of the nicotine solution on a weekly basis. The combination of not smoking real cigarettes and a gradual reduction of the nicotine concentration in electronic cigarettes makes the challenge of ending your nicotine addiction much easier.
